- The Digital Library of Inscriptions and Calligraphies
The Digital Library of Inscriptions is considered a digital recording of all inscriptions existing on ancient buildings and monuments throughout the ages. These inscriptions are digitally displayed for the user, including a brief description and pictures of the inscriptions. The languages included in the Digital Library are Ancient Egyptian, Arabic, Turkish, Persian and Greek languages. Moreover, there are inscriptions bearing Thamodic, Musnad, and Nabatean scripts. These inscriptions are digitally displayed for the user, including all the information that is related to those inscriptions such as the place of the inscriptions on the monuments and antiquities, the script used, the discovery place and the storage areas. Also, the era in which each inscription dates back to, and its dimensions. In addition, the user can obtain a detailed description of the inscription, with its images and a transcription, beside transliteration and translation of these inscriptions. All the inscriptions have been documented; also, the scientific references that are related to these inscriptions have been published. The user can access to this reference in case more details about a particular inscription is needed.
